Our journey
IPOPI was founded in 1992 by patient representatives and medical experts who recognised the urgent need for a global organisation dedicated to primary immunodeficiencies. At a time when many patients remained undiagnosed and treatments were limited or inaccessible, IPOPI emerged to unite national patient groups, support families, and advocate for better care.
Since then, we have grown into a worldwide alliance working across continents to improve diagnosis, strengthen health systems, and ensure that PID patients receive the recognition and support they deserve.
